Lisa and Judith had plenty to talk about becuase they both love to cook. The food was fabulous and I think Lisa should follow her passion for cooking. How fun would that be!
Welcome to our blog. The pilgramage Debbie and I are walking has attracted 2 million pilgrims a year from all over Europe since the 12th century.
We plan to experience the mystery and history of this route alone. We will travel on paths and trails that link to villages, great cathedrals and ancient monuments. Please join us in our journey of endurance and spirituality to the road to Compostela.
The Camino de Santiago, " The way of St James", is a glorious amble across the north of Spain following an ancient pilgramage route west to the magnificiant cathedral at Santiago de Compestela . 10th century pligrams braved bandits and wolves. Hopefully we will not encounter either! Stargazing celts went this way too heading west towards the setting sun and the solar temple of Ara Solis at Finisterrae, the end of the world. Today, pilgrams walk Santiago Finnisterrae for different reasons. For some it is a life long dream born out of religiuos faith , others seek a break from daily routines, or to return to a simpler way of life. I think Deb and I feel the Camino will provide us with the reasons we have decided to walk.
